Calendar Widget
I developed this calendar as a means of browsing blog entries for the Tabernacle of Hope website, reasoning that a calendar is an easily understandable, graphical way of rendering time-dependent information. The calendar on the Tabernacle of Hope site interfaces with the SQL database written dynamically by the site's CMS, Textpattern. Users can see at a glance if a month or day has a post (those months/days are styled in a larger font), so users can find months or days with posts, and browse the pastor's blogs how they wish.

Technologies used
This demonstration of the calendar widget in programmed in PHP, with AJAX/Javascript powering the interactivity. As such, this calendar can be updated on the fly, without refreshing the browser window or reloading the page! This kind of functionality is perfect for news sites and blogs.
